Making community events playful – new info sheet
Our latest information sheet aims to support communities to make their local events more playful for children and teenagers. Making community events playful also offers ideas for creating a playful experience and simple low-cost play ideas.
Community events are ideal opportunities for neighbours of all ages to meet in a fun and friendly way, as well as to promote the importance of play. When children are given the opportunity to play out, they get to know other children and adults in the neighbourhood, building familiarity, trust, and a community spirit for all.
We are publishing this information sheet in readiness for Playday on Wednesday 4 August to help communities celebrate children’s right to play at their local events.
