New Playful Communities guide
It is important to make sure our children have space, time and permission to play – these are the conditions that support play. When these conditions are right and in place, children will play. However, there are barriers and challenges that can impact on the freedom and independence children need to play.
This new guide aims to address those barriers and ensure children have enough time, space and permission to play as part of their everyday lives. Playful Communities sets out what can be done to make communities more playful and includes examples of how it has been done in other areas of Wales.
The guide is aimed at parents, carers, community groups and those who work with children and families.
This guide has been developed in partnership with Wrexham’s Youth & Play Service
