State of Child Health: Wales – two years on
The Royal College of Paediatric Child Health’s (RCPCH) newly published State of Child Health report provides an overview of children and young people’s health in the UK.
It examines progress made in the UK’s four nations since the last report was published two years ago.
The RCPCH said:
‘It reveals the encouraging prioritisation of infants, children and young people by Welsh Government. A promising obesity strategy has recently been published, bans on smoking in public places have been extended to school grounds [and] playgrounds … However, all this good progress risks reversal if these promising policies are not enforced or enacted in the coming year.’
