Regional Child Poverty Event North Wales

Recent research has revealed the shocking extent of food insecurity in Wales today.

The event will include speakers from Wrexham County Borough Council's Play & Youth Support Team, North Wales Food Poverty Alliance, Trefnu Cymunedol Cymru and Wrexham Youth & Play Partnership (WYPP) discussing different aspects of food insecurity and what is happening in north Wales to alleviate the problem.

It will also include round table discussions, with opportunities to reflect and feedback on the delivery of the Welsh Government-funded 'Holiday Hunger Playworks Pilot' in Wrexham, and share good practice.

The event is aimed at practitioners, managers, decision makers and anyone involved with holiday hunger programmes. If you have an interest in, or work with children and young people living in low income or disadvantaged families, come and find out more.

This is a free event but spaces are limited. To book a place please email Children in Wales.
