Parent lack time to take their children to the park
New research published by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy reveals that parents in the UK often struggle to find enough time to take their children to parks.
The research shows that 80 percent of parents want their children to spend more time outdoors but struggle due to time constraints. As a result, many skills that are taught outside are in decline, for example 34 percent of children can’t ride a bike, and nearly half have never climbed a tree.
Keep Britain Tidy’s #LoveParksWeek from 13 to 22 July 2018 aims to encourage people to go outside and use their local parks and green spaces.
