Organisation: The Children's Commissioner for Wales

Location: Llansamlet, Swansea, with all Wales responsibilities

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £29,100 – £34,750 per annum full time

The Children’s Commissioner for Wales and her team promote and safeguard the rights and welfare of children and young people in Wales.

Do you want to help achieve positive change for children and young people in Wales? Do you want to help ensure that public services take a children’s rights approach in all that they do?

As part of the Commissioner’s Policy and Public Affairs team, you will analyse and influence policy and practice in Welsh Government, UK Government and other public bodies. You will monitor the impact upon the wellbeing of children, young people and families at both national and local levels, taking account of the perspectives of children and young people.

You will have an in-depth understanding of policy and practice issues that affect children and young people. You will use your political awareness of local and national government structures and processes and your strong influencing skills to work with stakeholders to deliver change for children and young people.
